Degree in Environmental Biology (2005) and Master in Environmental Science and Technology (2008) from FCUL. PhD Student in Geography and Territorial Planning at NOVA.FCSH.

Participation in several national and international projects, namely: “LIFE Berlengas Project (LIFE13 NAT / PT / 000458) - Conserving threatened habitats and species in Berlengas SPA through sustainable management”, “TPEA - Transboundary Planning in the European Atlantic” Project the European Maritime Spatial Planning framework in the Atlantic, including Celtic Sea and Bay of Biscay ”and Project PTDC / AAC-AMB / 098786/2008“ SMARTPARKS - Planning and Management System for Small Islands Protected Areas”.

Key research interests include: protected area management, spatial planning (including maritime space), environmental governance and public participation
