I studied biology in the University of Coruña and Santiago de Compostela.

My Master's degree consisted in the study of the vegetal diversity in peatlands “Flora and vegetation of Sphagnum magellanicum Brid. raised bogs of the National Park Tierra del Fuego, Ushuaia, Arxentina”, under the direction of Dr. M.I. Fraga.

I decided to do my Ph.D. in this field paleobotany to investigate the local ecological changes in peatlands (North of Spain), under the direction of Dra. M.I. Fraga and Dr. Pontevedra Pombal, X.
