Sandra Monteiro is the administrative officer supporting the CIBIO-InBIO pole at the Universidade dos Açores.

She was born in Ponta Delgada (1972), and is interested in biodiversity, environmental biology and conservation biology.

She is also interested in taxonomy and ecology of macroalgae.
