CIBIO-Azores organises workshop as part of the Marine SABRES project
On 2 and 5 December, the last stakeholder workshops for the Marine SABRES project were held at the Ponta Delgada and Angra do Heroísmo campuses, respectively.
The main objective of these sessions was to present and validate the digital application developed by the project consortium, with the active contribution of various stakeholders involved in the governance and management of the marine environment. The tool, currently in an advanced stage of development, was tested in a real-world context, allowing for the collection of fundamental contributions for its improvement.
The application aims to support decision-makers and managers in making informed decisions, promoting more integrated, sustainable and scientifically-based governance of the maritime space.
The workshops held in the Azores are part of a broader set of stakeholder engagement actions planned in the project, which will also be taken to other partners and regions involved. The final version of the application will be presented in Brussels next year, at a time of sharing and dissemination of the project results at European level.
